The view of the temple and sunset from the Martin's balcony was gorgeous!
We took a trip over to City Creek our first morning there for breakfast at Kneaders and the girls loved riding up and down the escalator a few times with Nae Nae and riding over the covered walkway and watching the TRAX train go underneath them.
Grandpa Mark introduced Lucy to "balance beams" around temple square, which of course made Claire want to try them too. It was all fun and games until we got home from Utah and couldn't go anywhere without taking the complicated, long path to walk the so-called balance beams everywhere! ha!
We went exploring at the Family History center in the bottom of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was a cool place to visit and the girls loved the explorer stuff they got to play with!
We swung by temple square too and loved seeing the beautiful landscape and fountains.
Eating at a new place in new seats is always a fun thing for kids! This trip is what made Claire never want to eat in a high chair again.
Stickers and notebooks were carried around in plastic bags all week and the girls kept them very close!
Another trip we did one day was to the Salt Lake City cemetery where we got to visit the gravesites of a bunch of my family as well as prophets and other leaders.
Claire liked relaxing in the "spa" every night.
And what's a trip to Salt Lake without a hike up to the beautiful Ensign Peak?
Claire loved wearing her blankie like a cape and standing in front of the fan like she was flying.
Dinner at Red Iguana in the City Creek food court- and such a beautiful night to enjoy it in!
Fountains, fountains, and more fountains!
These girls even ended up getting their hair wet in the temple square fountains. Not sure if that is allowed or not but they were doing it before we even knew it!
Another place we visited was the Conference Center for a tour. It was really fun and fascinating and we got the quick version since we had two restless kids with us! :)

The girls loved playing playdoh with grandpa.
They also loved posing and dancing and twirling on the temple pedestal.
Our second to last day there was my birthday and we took a tax ride through downtown to run a quick errand at Gateway. The girls thought it was awesome. We then went out to dinner at Brio. It felt so great to sit and eat outside in beautiful weather and everyone loved their food, the girls included!
Ryan surprised me with some Magleby's chocolate cake back at the Martin's, which did not disappoint! We didn't have candles, so we made one out of paper and a toothpick. It was perfect!
Our last day, we went to Thanksgiving Point's Museum of Natural Curiosity one more time.
We ended the day with dinner at in-n-out!
Sad to say goodbye and go back to reality.
