Florida trip 2015- Part 3

The next full day that we were there we went to the beach, specifically Honeymoon Island.  This was a couple of hours drive, but totally worth it!  It was a beautiful, white sand beach and felt so nice and tropical.  The weather was great- we weren't burning up from heat but we weren't cold at all.  The kids had a BLAST the whole entire day playing in the sand and waves, looking for shells, building sand castles and moats and slides, eating, and running away from the crazy aggressive seagulls that would swoop down and steal entire sandwiches from people's hands! The kids all zonked out hard on the ride home.  We got washed off and changed at our hotel and hurried over to Disney Springs to eat dinner at the cool new T-Rex restaurant!  It was the perfect vacation day!

Cutie Claire was a little apprehensive about the waves and water but LOVED digging in the sand!
Lucy and Claire had so much fun playing and splashing around in the waves, they forgot they don't know how to sim yet. :)  It's okay though because us parents were close.
A seagull came and stole a Cheeto right out of Claire's hand while on this walk with Ryan.  Anytime she sees this picture she said "Cheeto out my hand! Mean bird!" ha.
The view from the shower/bathroom area.  So pretty!
Keeping a very close eye on those seagulls!
Ryan and Lucy went looking for some cool shells over by the rocks.  They didn't end up with much but they had fun trying!
This beach bum was also perfectly content to sit under the cabana and snack for a long time.
This water bottle was probably one of Lucy's favorite "beach toys."  She refilled that a million times and would run it up to the sand castle where they built a little slide thing for the water to go down.  It kept her SUPER busy for a long time.
Mermaid hands!
Two seconds into our ride home.... If only we could go to the beach everyday! ;)
